About Me

Hello and Welcome

Christine Walker, LPC sitting in her career therapy office smiling at the camera.

I’m Christine Walker, LPC, a career therapist in Connecticut. I help professionals like you create a more sustainable approach to success, so that you can enjoy your life outside of work too.

As a business owner and mother of four, I understand what it means to juggle competing priorities where there are no simple answers, only trade‑offs with real consequences. I know what it feels like to bring your work stress home with you.

That’s the real, lived experience I bring to this work. I’ll work with you wherever you are. If you need to leave your job, we’ll work on that; if you need to stay and navigate your work differently, we’ll work on that; if you’re not sure what you need, we’ll start there.

The work we do together will be shaped by your real‑life situation, not by a one‑size‑fits‑all process. If this sounds like the kind of support you’re looking for, you can schedule a brief consultation to talk more.

My Approach

I bring together polyvagal science, feminist career therapy, and practical DBT skills to help burned-out professionals understand why they’re exhausted so they can build a realistic path out.

My work starts with the assumption that the way you’ve adapted makes sense given everything you’ve been dealing with. I don’t treat your current strategies like they’re a problem before we understand the layers and nuances behind them.

I work with people who arrive saying things like, “I think I need to leave,” and I take that seriously. If you need to leave, I will help you do that, and we will proceed from there.

As we explore your options, additional factors may come into view if our work reveals dynamics shaping the situation that weren’t apparent before.

From there, I will help you clarify your situation and the options available to you. Then, your decisions will become clearer; not necessarily easier, but more accurately defined and easier to assess.

If you’re looking for quick fixes or simple mindset shifts, this probably isn’t a fit.
If you want to be taken seriously and have your situation handled with the respect this stage of your career requires, you’re in the right place.

My Professional Background

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Board-Certified Counselor with advanced training in both clinical therapy and career-development. I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, along with additional certifications in trauma therapy and stress management.

This background allows me to work with the psychological strain and real-world constraints that coexist in corporate careers, without treating one as separate from the other.

My work has been featured in Career Convergence Magazine, Psych Central, Verywell Mind, and Webtalk Radio.

I’ve worked with attorneys, therapists, executives, producers, educators, and parents from the some of the most demanding, high-pressure environments including: Google, Amazon, PwC, NBC, Meta, and Private Equity owned corporations.
